Bellevue Women's 9-Hole Golf Club

Weekly Competition and Eclectic Rules

Weekly Competition

  1. Weekly Competition is played on the front nine on Thursdays. Fun events like Scramble and Field Day are excluded.
  2. HANDICAP DIVISIONS ensure competition between players of equal skill levels.  The Handicap Committee will adjust the breaks in divisions.
  3. If no one participates in a division for the weekly competition, the prize money for that week’s division reverts to the treasury.
  4. BEFORE YOU PLAY:
Check your GHIN app or GHIN.com for your Course Handicap (CH) for the Red – Front 9.  (See Thursday Procedures on how to find your CH). If you input the incorrect Course Handicap, your score will be disqualified for that week’s weekly competition.
  5. You must keep a scorecard that records the competition score of at least two players.

Exception:  if the group is a threesome, record scores of all 3 on a single scorecard. Each scorecard must be attested* and dated.

5A: Our club has established a ten-stroke maximum per hole to ensure pace of play during competition.  If you have hit ten strokes and still not holed the ball, pick up your ball and record ten strokes, three of which are putts (10/3 on the scorecard). You will be permitted to remain in the weekly competition.

  6. Record both your total gross score and your putts for each hole.
  7. After you complete 9 holes of play:
Enter your score for each hole on the online form.
    • Total your score and putts for 9 holes.
    • Either after completing 9 holes or after you return home, calculate the Weekly Comp game for that week. The game will be posted on the online form. If you input the incorrect Weekly Comp score for that week, your score will be disqualified for that week’s weekly competition.
    • Fill out the online form either after playing 9 or at home.
    • Enter your score into the GHIN App or GHIN.com.  We recommend using the GHIN App.
    • It is highly recommended that you post your score to GHIN on the day you play.  All rounds need to be posted even if you need to post them after the day played.
  8. If you play 18 holes: Fill out the online form when you finish playing 9 holes or prior to midnight on day of play.

Remember, you cannot post a score that has not been attested.

*Attesting – compare the score and putts for each hole and TOTAL score and putts with all players on your scorecard. Scorecards should match.

Eclectic Instructions

What is an Eclectic Score?

The Eclectic Sore is a kind of fantasy score combining your best score on each hole for the entire season.

How to Participate

  1. If you are participating in the weekly competition (see above), you do NOT need to fill out the online form again.  You will automatically be entered into the Eclectic comp.

  2. Only games played during Thursday competition are eligible for eclectic posting (Field Day, Scramble and other fun days are excluded).

  3. At the end of the season, your best score for each hole will be used to compute your “eclectic round.”
  4. To qualify for an eclectic award, you must post at least 10 eclectic scores.
